🇽 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle?🇽

I have heard a rumour that all of the plastic bags we have used it could wrap around the world 55 times that's bad .

This will cause more sea creatures to die from all of the plastic bags that are being thrown into the water .

It is unfair for the sea turtles because they don't see a difference between plastic bags and jellyfish .

Every day sea creatures die because of people throwing plastic bags into the water it needs to be dealt with.

Is it worth saving sea creatures life or throwing plastic bags into the water every day .

We can do it without these idiots who throw plastic.

WALT use a persuasive structure.

Last week Te Ngahere we wrote a persuasive writing it was about Reduce,Reuse,Recycle. Whaea Chrissy took me to the computer room and she asked me is sports better than music or is music better than sports. I chose sports are better because you get more fit and healthy.

William Pike

Last week Te Ngahere watched a half an hour long webinar about all of William Pike’s adventures. After we watched it we made a google drawing about what has he has achieved. There was a story called Reps and a kid was angry and he saw a poster and it had William Pike on it.

The Bullet

A few week ago my reading group started a presentation about The Bullet the WALT: use a range of strategies to answer comprehension questions. The story was about a kid who found a bullet when it fell out of a car and he showed other kids so he could be cool. So the other kids were jealous because he was cool now and they tried to take it from him.

Structure recount

A few weeks ago we made a slideshow about how to make a structure recount. First you need to the the title next you need to do orientation next you do the events then the ending.

Math Goals

Last week Te Ngahere were making a google drawing about our new maths goals. The WAlt was to identify our new learning,  we need to choose 3 goals off the Ikan sheet. I one of them I choose was Doubling and two others.

ast term Te Ngahere and Te Maunga were practicing to draw Kowhaiwhai and koru, our WALT was to draw kowhaiwhai and koru patterns. We started out practicing them with crayons then we got a big piece of paper and draw it with pencil. After that we need to make korus and design  a pattern for our family.

Maromaku

Last week on Friday some of Paihia School went to Maromaku. The year five and six were playing together we were playing rugby.  We won all of our games but in the semi finals we lost. But we won the finals and for all of the games we won we came third. We all left Maromaku as champions.

making ice cream

Last Friday. Te Ngahere made some ice cream. We got chosen up to make ice cream. We made a recount about making ice cream too, my WALT was metaphors, alliteration and similes. When it was mine and my buddy Alexsi turn, we needed to get a bag. We put whipped cream in the bag then we put sugar in the bag I will tell you the rest in my story

Beach clean up

The beach clean up. We went to the beach to clean up the beach because it was a bit rotten and stinky so we cleaned it up and we found lots of smoke buds and a lot of beer bottles.
